The story of The Stolen Railway
Here's a snipet...
My interest in this story was awakened as I stood in the car park of The Ferry Inn, which is a pub situated on the banks of the Shannon River in the northern part of County Tipperary. It is a part of Ireland where three counties come close to one another, Tipperary, Galway and Offaly. Let me explain what it was that kindled my interest. Oh, by the way, The Ferry Inn serves a great pint of Guinness, no kidding. And I’m not being paid to say that.
So across the road from the pub was this jungle completely overgrown and hiding all it contained. Rumours were rife as to what lay within its’ confines and no one dared venture in to find out. Was there a lake in there full of crocodiles and flamingo? Highly likely. What about the remnants of some old castle? This is Ireland, also possible. To be honest, even more likely. They might find Dr. Livingtone in there or even the source of the Nile. Maybe Tarzan swings in there from creeper to creeper. Parrots, apes and undiscovered flora and fauna could be found in there for all anybody knew. No one knew for sure except perhaps the owner of the jungle.
